Neustadt lies on the southern edge of the Harz mountains, about 12 km from
the former imperial city outdoors Nordhausen. The city, in the vernacular as
"Pearl of the mountain Südharzes" has its reputation as a tourist resort and
already more than 100 years, founded. The village lies within a diverse South
Harz reliefs at an altitude of about 260 m to 360 m ü.NN.
Neustadt has a distinctive climate, which bodes well for Health and Recreation. In our recognized health resort, and you will find many well-marked hiking trails (120km), for example, the Dam, to ruin Hohnstein, Poppenberg mountain, the rock tor and Thomas Müntzer-City Stolberg (many timbered houses, hiking trails, Pool experience). During summer, our idyllically situated Waldbad pond and the gondola much opportunity for exercise and fun. Cafe's and guest houses are comfortable and inviting.
